Assistant Professor in Community and Regional Planning at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa. Research interests includes: Everyday Urbanism, Community Design and International Development.
Objective of the research: to integrate expert knowledge with everyday knowledge, codified and tacit modes of inhabiting space, formal and informal socio-spatial arrangements.
Among his publications: Hot Cheese: Camorra, Mozzarella, and Regional Development in Southern Italy (Ferrara: De Scarenari, in press) plus a number
of articles on architecture and food, space appropriation, formal and informal planning.
Current Projects: Long-term sustainability in two rural communities in Italy and the US; Revitalization of informal communities in Rome.
